Very nice afternoon, yesterday, at Senaga-jima, with the guys of Ryukyu Ocean Defenders, Pietro Sartogo and many other dear friends. Three, not one, Missions:
1) clean the beach
2) play frescobol
3) celebrate Pietro's birthday
We picked up 50 kilos of garbage, including a car radio and a freshly used condom (Senaga-jima is notoriously a romantic place that stimulates the boom-boom activity).
Tatsu-man, driving the Tatsu-mobile, brought the waste to Itoman, where a garbage center operates also on Sunday. GOOD BOY.
Then, while Goya-san was struggling with my new made in China barbecue, we played frescobol. I'm happy to have tried it with many new members of the F.A.O. (Frescobol Addicts Okinawa). I had fun especially with Vito-san, Pietro's young son, a good tennis player.
Then we ate indecently, good stuff, meat stuff, vegetavegan stuff, junky stuff. The barbecue made its dirty job, bravo Goya. Pietro was celebrated with maybe the poorest but also the coolest cake of his life: a composition of candles shaped with H-A-P-P-Y-B-I-R-T-H-D-A-Y letters spread on pineapple cubes and a piece of bread. I gave him amaretti, a Camilleri/Montalbano's book and an untouched Settimana Enigmistica that mom sent me. What wouldn't I do, for my friend...
GRAZIE A TUTTI, it has been fun, let's do it again!!!
