EUROPA VINTAGE MARKET AT YOCO'S KITCHEN

GRAZIE MILLE to all the nice friends that came to Yoco Acaghi's cozy kitchen Sunday and Monday! The event has been very successful and now many old, cool European items found a new home in Okinawa...

My personal どうもうありがとうございました to my dear friend Yoco for hosting the event!! And, of course, to Angie-chan for guarding the house.

RAVIOLI LOVE!

THANK YOU very much to my friend Tomoaki Goeku and to her nice sister Rina-san for hosting last Saturday my cooking class Ravioli Love! at their very beautiful restaurant/bar/cooking school Taste of Okinawa!

And THANK YOU very much also to the nice ladies that participated (THANKS for the photos too)! We met new friends and had a lot of food-fun. For the first time in my life I used a squash racket to cook heart-shaped ravioli, not an everyday-experience. See you again soon, ciao!

BOLOGNA, OKINAWA

THANKS A LOT!
GRAZIE MILLE!
To all the kind participants at Saturday's cooking class 'Bologna - Okinawa' at Eigo Gym, the coziest private English school of Izumizaki, Naha!

Goods of Europa Vintage Okinawa for sale

It has been fun, also because the place has a perfect setting for cooking classes and the group has been extremely friendly and gentle. Together we made 13 eggs of tagliatelle by hand (my mom said I'm crazy...), plus a bathtub of friggione!

Special THANKS to Shinya-san, the owner of the school, a real gentleman.

Hope to repeat such an experience anytime soon!

GRAZIE MILLE x MILLE to 'Mamma Lella' for hosting yesterday a very special event (Piadina & Mercato)!

It has been great fun and I could eat two yummy piadine ('speciale' + 'Nutella'). Many thanks to the kind customers that bought Europa Vintage Okinawa's goods (following)!!!

A super THANKS to all Mamma Lella's team: SuperChef Eugenio, SuperEriko and SuperStaff - Genta-san and the new entry Sutepanie-san -, good people as much as the F4!

We enjoyed organizing and holding this little event so much that we decided to hold a similar one - but much bigger and somehow different - in mid December (most probably on Saturday 16th): a Christmas Italian Market and Fair, with Italian products, handicrafts, music, food and atmosphere.

Where? At Mamma Lella's, mochirrron!

GRAZIE RAGAZZI!!! Ci vediamo assieme a Babbo Natale!

LITTLE ITALYANATA AT TOP SECRET BEACH

After swearing on our moms, cats, dogs and children to keep the secret about the location, today we made a massive clean up of Top Secret Beach, a wonderful corner of Okinawa devastated by the garbage that too many dickheads of this poor planet drop in its seas.
The numbers: 9 super-heroes, 2 mini-heroes, 30 HUGE bags of assorted nastiness. The trophy: a full door of a fridge (made in Japan).

The whole thing was born as an Italian beach party, but considering that Italians in Okinawa are more or less quattro gatti, the crazy heat and the general laziness of human beings, we ended up picking up an obscene amount on trash, more than just drinking vino and making strange gestures. Even so, we made a yummy barbecue with also a lot of delicious fruits afterwards.
Four nations, this time, contributed to the cleaning, but not the two surfers that we met at the beach (surfing is cool, you know, collecting waste not so much). They didn't move a finger nor an arigatou.

In the end, tired and burnt (but very happy, with the feeling of having done something useful for Okinawa), we brought the bags home. I hope the sea currents will wait for some time before covering again this beautiful place with half plastic of the planet.
GRAZIE GRACIAS to all the nice friends that today made this possible!
